NBA DRAFT BIG BOARD: 141-180

I’m half way there! 95% of the players who are posted after this are Europe bound. Although I know its every basketball player’s dream to play in the Association but I refuse to feel sorry for people who get paid to move to Europe and play basketball. I refuse to answer questions about things I would do to be able to do that on the grounds people would think I’m one of the 5 worst human beings on the planet.
141. Steven Gray/SG/Gonzaga/6-5/210/JR
Has real NBA range and is a real perimeter threat along side Matt Bouldin these days in Spokane….Also has the size to matchup as a pro
142. Dallas Lauderdale/PF/Ohio State/6-8/260/JR
Starting to become a minor threat offensively and is starting to become a MAJOR havoc defensively….has put up multiple 5+ blocks already this year
143.Corey Fisher/PG/Villanova/6-1/185/JR
They don’t call him Fisher Price for nothing….Has the tools to be the best ball-handler in the country but needs to cut turnovers which he is starting to do….one Chicago guard (who has played against Derrick Rose) told me that Fisher is the best guard he has ever played against

101. Trevor Booker/PF/Clemson/6-7/220/SR
Will be asked to dominate up front if Clemson is to compete for an ACC title
102. Luke Harangody/PF/Notre Dame/6-9/255/SR
Will garner a lot of the same questions as Tyler Hansborough did last year
103. Quincy Pondexter/PF/Washington/6-7/220/SR
Nobody will benefit more by having great guards surrounding him
104. Jeffery Taylor/SG/Vanderbilt/6-6/200/SO
Very talented big guard project by some as high as a lottery pick
105. Michael Snaer/SG/Florida State/6-5/185/FR
If he can replace Toney Douglass’ production Florida State will contend for the ACC
106. Deonta Vaughn/PG/Cincinnati/6-1/190/SR
Has toiled in mediocredy for years and will finally be rewarded
107. JaJuan Johnson/PF/Purdue
Very underrated shot blocker’s stock will all depend on Purdue’s success
108. Dante Taylor/PF/Pitt
Will be tossed into the fire immediately as no frontcourt player in the country will have bigger shoes to fill
109. Tibor Pleiss/C/Koln 99ers/7-0/220/1989/Germany
Mobile big could stand to put on a little poundage
110. Royce White/SF/Minnesota/6-7/200/FR
Could one day be seen as the guy who brought Tubby Smith back to the top
THE NBA DRAFT BIG BOARD: PART III (61-100)

The bottom half of the top 100 will always be an interesting combination of under- and overachievers. There will be guys who are talented enough to get drafted but have problems off the court or simply don’t get the job done on it for whatever reason. Then there will be players, especially in the preseason, who will definitely be heard from by season’s end. In all likelihood only about half of these guys have a legitimate shot at playing in the Associatiom and only 10-12 will make a team max. However, followers of the Euroleague should pay close attention to this list because just about everyone on it will have a professional career of some sort in their future.

This is going to be the area where most GM’s earn the big bucks. It comes by drafting the players who make the small bucks. Guys like Gilbert Arenas and Manu Ginobili started their road to superstardom being drafted in this window. An executive can buy himself three or four years of credibility by hitting the jackpot in the 2nd round. I like to call it the second lottery. The only difference is that they have control of what happens when Russ Granik hits the stage. Here are some of the guys to watch…
THE NBA DRAFT BIG BOARD: PART I (1-30)
by DOUG FERGUSON
It is no secret that we here at NBE place an emphasis on the college game first. Henceforth one of the sticking points for the Association site will be in depth scouting of the NBA Draft. Of my many talents, ability to translate the transition from college to pro basketball would have to be at the top of the list. I was looking through some old books the other day in which I found my first ever mock draft from when I was 10 years old. My mom would tell you that while other kids were pretending to be their favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle as a kid, I was pretending to be David Stern shaking hands with Shaq at my own makeshift NBA Draft headquarters in New York.
Although this probably brought my mother great shame, it won my father lots of money with his friends during Bulls and IU games. It is going to bring one more thing now that I am older and that is knowledge of the NBA Draft for NBE readers that is second to none. So without further ado, I bring to you THE Draft Board of all draft boards Part 1 of 10.
